Official National Weather Service guidance projects a Friday high near 93°F for Atlanta under mostly sunny skies, with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms developing after 2 p.m. that could cap afternoon readings depending on timing and intensity. Recent model runs show modest spread in peak values, while humidity near 50-60% and light southwesterly flow support strong surface heating absent early convection. Historical September 11 averages sit near 85°F, making current warmth anomalous yet consistent with the warm pattern observed earlier in the month. Trader consensus across the 88-93°F bins reflects this narrow but real uncertainty in convective initiation, with updated model guidance and NWS briefings likely to shift implied probabilities before resolution.
