Persistent upper-level ridge centered over Oklahoma and North Texas is sustaining hot, dry conditions with southerly flow and minimal cloud cover, positioning official National Weather Service forecasts for a Dallas high near 101°F on August 30. Multiple guidance sources converge on afternoon maxima of 100–102°F under sunny skies and light winds, consistent with the market’s dominant 100–101°F bin at 67% implied probability. Recent model runs show no meaningful cooling signals or moisture return before the date, while the ongoing drought and elevated heat indices reinforce the pattern established through late August. Traders are weighting the tight forecast consensus and absence of variability drivers, though minor adjustments in ridge position could still nudge outcomes into the adjacent 98–99°F or 102–103°F ranges.
