Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Denver on September 19 project a daily high in the mid to upper 70s amid partly sunny skies and a 60-70% chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms after 3 p.m. This uncertainty in convective timing and coverage drives the near-even trader split between the 76-77°F and 78-79°F bins. Model consensus from NWS points to peak temperatures before widespread storm development, while any earlier or more intense activity could suppress readings via cloud cover and evaporative cooling. Official resolution will rely on the final verified maximum from Denver-area stations, with real-time observations and updated model runs expected to refine probabilities through the afternoon.
