**Official forecasts from Mexico's Servicio Meteorológico Nacional and supporting international models indicate a daily maximum near 26°C for Mexico City on September 20, driven by typical late-summer highland conditions with partly cloudy skies, light northerly winds, and limited afternoon heating.** Current observations show temperatures climbing into the mid-20s Celsius by early afternoon amid 30-50% humidity and scattered showers that cap further warming, aligning with September climatology where average highs reach about 24°C but can peak higher under clearer intervals. Trader consensus at 26°C reflects this narrow expected range, as stronger convective activity or increased cloud cover could suppress readings by 1-2°C, while clearer skies or weaker winds might push toward 27°C or above. Official verification from surface stations will determine the exact recorded maximum by day's end.
