Recent forecasts from the Malaysian Meteorological Department and international models point to daily maximum temperatures in Kuala Lumpur near 31–32°C on September 12, driven by typical equatorial September conditions with high humidity, light variable winds, and widespread afternoon thunderstorms. These convective patterns, fueled by the intertropical convergence zone, increase cloud cover and precipitation that frequently cap peaks below 33°C by enhancing evaporative cooling and reducing solar insolation. Historical September averages hover around 31–32°C, with urban heat island effects in the city center providing modest uplift. Model consensus remains tight, though timing of showers and any haze from regional fires introduce minor spread, aligning with market-implied probabilities clustering on 31°C and 32°C as the most likely outcomes.
