Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model guidance indicate a modest warm spell for San Francisco on August 27, with highs most likely in the low-to-mid 70s before stronger onshore flow and marine layer deepening cool the region. This positioning stems from transient high pressure allowing greater solar insolation and reduced fog advection under partly cloudy skies, tempered by southwest winds that limit peak heating in coastal zones. Trader consensus clusters tightly on 72-75°F because small variations in cloud timing, wind speed, or marine layer thickness—common in San Francisco’s microclimates—can shift the daily maximum by a few degrees. Historical August averages near 70°F provide context, while Friday’s expected cooldown underscores the transient nature of the current warmth.
