Recent forecasts from the Japan Meteorological Agency and other models indicate a high of 24–26°C in Tokyo on September 23 under cloudy to overcast skies with light rain possible, following heavy precipitation and northerly winds on September 21 that have suppressed daytime heating. This aligns with late-September climatology near 25°C average highs and favors the market's leading outcomes at 25°C (37% implied probability), 24°C (23.5%), and 26°C (19%). Cloud cover and residual moisture limit solar warming and convective intensification, while model consensus shows limited upside potential absent a rapid shift in steering patterns. Updated short-range guidance expected in the next 24–48 hours could refine these probabilities before resolution.
