Recent National Weather Service and model guidance points to a minimum temperature in Atlanta on September 2 near 74–78°F under mostly clear skies and light winds, supporting the tightly clustered market odds around 78–81°F. Persistent high pressure and a warm, humid airmass with dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s will limit radiational cooling overnight, while daytime heating to the mid-90s sets up a modest diurnal range. Minor differences among forecast ensembles arise from subtle variations in cloud cover timing and boundary-layer mixing, which could shift the exact low by a couple of degrees and explain the balanced probabilities across the 70–81°F bins. Updated model runs and evening observations will refine the outlook before resolution.
