Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance points to overnight lows in Chicago on September 11 in the low-to-mid 60s°F, driven by clear to partly cloudy skies, light southerly to variable winds, and dry conditions following a weak frontal passage. This setup favors radiative cooling under reduced cloud cover but limits deeper drops given seasonal warmth and dew points in the 50s. Historical climatology shows an average low near 61°F for the date, providing context for why bins around 62-63°F hold meaningful implied probability alongside the leading 70°F-or-higher outcome. Traders appear to weigh model consensus against potential forecast revisions or localized urban heat effects as the primary overnight window approaches.
