**Recent forecasts indicate a cool, rainy period influencing Shanghai’s minimum temperature on September 2, 2026.** Multiple weather models show a transition from hot, humid conditions (highs near 31–33°C) to a more moderate regime driven by increased cloud cover, northeasterly winds, and substantial rainfall (50+ mm in some projections), which limits daytime heating and moderates overnight lows. Official and ensemble guidance from sources like LUFT TIME and others point to a low near 24.8–26°C on September 2, with some runs clustering around 25°C amid heavy precipitation and high humidity. This aligns with the market’s leading outcomes at 26°C (47%) and 27°C (37%), reflecting trader weighting of the most probable model consensus while accounting for uncertainty in exact minimum timing and local station variations (e.g., urban heat island effects at official measurement sites). Cooler possibilities (25°C or below, totaling ~20%) gain traction if stronger rain or a sharper frontal passage occurs, whereas warmer readings (28°C+) remain less likely given the expected overcast skies and moisture. With resolution imminent, updated model runs and any last-minute adjustments from agencies like the China Meteorological Administration will likely drive final shifts in these implied probabilities.
