**Analyst consensus and market-implied odds cluster around 1,600–1,700 ARS per USD by December 2026, reflecting the Central Bank’s inflation-linked crawling band regime implemented in January 2026.** Current spot rates near 1,488 have advanced modestly under the policy, which widens the band monthly in line with prior inflation prints while supporting reserve accumulation ahead of sizable external debt payments due through year-end. Recent BCRA survey medians project 1,652, with top forecasters at 1,605 and some banks seeing 1,760, underscoring the tight contest between contained depreciation and any acceleration tied to residual inflation or external financing needs. Trader positioning in the two leading brackets captures this uncertainty around the pace of peso adjustment versus fiscal and monetary stabilization.
