Incumbent Rich McCormick holds a commanding position in Georgia’s 7th congressional district, a solidly Republican seat where he prevailed by nearly 30 points in 2024. With no Republican primary opposition and Democrat Tony Kozycki emerging from a low-turnout runoff, traders view the November 3 general election as unlikely to produce a split that forces a runoff under Georgia’s majority requirement. Historical margins, the district’s suburban and rural composition north of Atlanta, and limited Democratic infrastructure underpin the 98.4% implied probability of an outright winner. Late developments such as a major scandal, health event affecting the incumbent, or an unanticipated national political shift remain the primary variables that could narrow McCormick’s margin below 50%.
