This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed entity announces a new qualifying project during San Diego Comic-Con 2026, currently scheduled to be held between July 22-26, 2026, at the San Diego Convention Center. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". New qualifying projects include but are not limited to: previously unannounced films, series, or video games, or new seasons, DLCs, expansions, or remasters thereof. A qualifying announcement is defined as the first official public reveal of substantive content details of a specific new project made during an official SDCC panel, in official SDCC programming, or through the listed entity's official channels during the event window. Announcements made by the listed entity's parent company, subsidiaries, or a party officially authorized to announce projects for the listed entity will also qualify. "Substantive content details" is defined as information identifying what the specific project is, beyond the fact of its existence or development, including but not limited to a title, working title, premise, storyline, characters, named talent, platform, medium, or format. For example, "a new Spider-Man movie" would qualify, while "a new project in the works" would not. Further information and releases regarding projects already publicly announced before the event will not qualify. A project counts as previously announced if substantive content details of the project were officially released before the event. Unconfirmed leaks, hints, rumors, trademark filings, ratings-board listings, and third-party reporting will not count as announcements. Statements about developing new projects or confirmation that the studio is working on something new without substantive content details of the project will not count, but will not disqualify an official announcement during the event. An announcement will only qualify if it takes place on one of the calendar days of San Diego Comic-Con 2026, PT. If no qualifying announcement has occurred by the end of San Diego Comic-Con 2026 or August 31, 2026, 11:59 PM PT, whichever passes earlier, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source will be official statements from the listed entity; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Major studios and creators traditionally use San Diego Comic-Con panels to reveal new films, series, or expansions in franchises like Marvel, DC, and Star Wars, making the event a focal point for trader attention. With the convention occurring July 23–26, 2026, recent scheduling announcements and teaser campaigns from key companies have shaped expectations around which projects might surface. Historical patterns show high-profile reveals often coincide with strong pre-con buzz or guild and streaming metrics, while quiet periods or competing events can suppress surprises. Traders monitor official schedules, social media leaks, and industry reporting for momentum shifts ahead of the main hall presentations.
