FunPlus Phoenix and JD Gaming meet in a best-of-3 lower-bracket series during the Esports World Cup 2026 China Qualifier Stage 2. Both Chinese squads enter with recent VCT China experience, where JD Gaming secured a 2-1 head-to-head victory in the 2026 Kickoff event on maps including Pearl and Bind. FPX has posted mixed results in the qualifier, advancing through earlier rounds with strong map control on Haven and Ascent, while JDG's roster featuring players like Stew and coconut has emphasized aggressive site executes. Map veto trends favor mid-range pools with limited exposure to Breeze and Fracture. Current form shows both teams adapting to Patch 12.05, with travel and schedule density in the regional bracket adding pressure on execution consistency.
