Recent National Weather Service forecasts project a high near 99°F in Dallas on September 5 under sunny skies and light southerly winds, aligning with the market's tight clustering around 96–101°F bins. This outlook exceeds the 1991–2020 average high of 92.8°F amid an ongoing heat wave, with heat indices potentially reaching 105–110°F due to elevated dew points near 72°F. Minimal cloud cover and dry conditions favor the upper range, though minor model variations in afternoon mixing or boundary-layer moisture could shift the peak by a degree or two. NOAA updates and local observations over the next 48 hours will likely drive any adjustments in trader positioning.
