This setup follows a brief warm period and aligns with model consensus showing a deeper marine layer than typical for late September, when the climatological average high is about 71°F. Trader emphasis on 64–67°F outcomes reflects these official guidance and the low likelihood of significant warming or clearing before peak heating.
