Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to a clear, dry night with light northwest winds under high pressure, favoring radiational cooling and an overnight low in the low-to-mid 60s across Central Park. Consensus forecasts cluster the minimum between 62–64 °F, with small differences in dew-point depression and boundary-layer mixing explaining the tight clustering of trader probabilities around the 64–65 °F and 66–67 °F bins. Historical September climatology shows typical lows near 63 °F, providing a baseline against which current dry-air advection and minimal cloud cover are pushing readings slightly above average. Final resolution will hinge on the precise 2-meter temperature recorded at official stations between midnight and 6 a.m. on September 8, with any unexpected increase in low-level moisture or wind the main variables that could shift the outcome.
