Recent polling shows the Texas U.S. Senate race between Democratic nominee James Talarico and Republican nominee Ken Paxton as a toss-up or lean Republican contest, with Talarico often holding narrow leads driven by strong support among Hispanic voters and independents. Talarico’s substantial fundraising edge—over $68 million raised through June 2026 versus roughly $9 million for Paxton—has enabled heavy advertising and suburban outreach, including well-attended events in Collin County. Paxton’s primary victory over incumbent John Cornyn, aided by a late Trump endorsement, and his local roots in the historically Republican county anchor his position, yet the broader competitiveness and Democratic targeting of North Texas suburbs have shaped trader views on the county outcome. Early voting and registration deadlines in October remain key upcoming milestones.
