Utah's 2nd congressional district, redrawn ahead of the 2026 midterms to encompass northern Utah counties including Cache, Davis, and Weber, leans strongly Republican based on recent presidential voting patterns. Republican Blake Moore secured the GOP nomination in the June primary against state Rep. Karianne Lisonbee, positioning him as the clear general election frontrunner against Democrat Peter Crosby. The district's conservative voter base, combined with Utah's history of Republican dominance in House races and the absence of competitive polling shifts or major scandals since the primaries, supports the heavy market tilt toward the Republican nominee. A late-breaking development such as an unforeseen candidate withdrawal, ethics issue, or significant turnout surge among Democratic-leaning voters in the Ogden area could narrow the gap, though historical margins in comparable Utah districts indicate limited realistic pathways for an upset.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
