Ranked 179, the Argentine defeated Christopher O’Connell in the opening qualifier and brings proven durability and experience on the slower, higher-bouncing clay that defines Roland Garros. Remy Bertola, ranked 211, advanced past Shintaro Mochizuki with a three-set comeback but has shown inconsistent results in prior Challenger events and limited top-level clay exposure. The matchup favors the player with superior recent form and physical conditioning, though both competitors remain vulnerable to the variable conditions and fatigue common in Grand Slam qualifying.
