This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 3 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zhhh If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent forecasts for Wuhan indicate a highest temperature on September 3 most likely between 28–30°C, aligning with market-implied odds clustered around those levels. A remnant disturbance from tropical cyclone Shadel, combined with an inverted trough and peripheral flow from the western Pacific subtropical high, is driving scattered showers, elevated cloud cover, and northerly winds of 3–7 on the Beaufort scale through September 3. These conditions reduce incoming solar radiation and promote evaporative cooling, capping daytime maxima near or slightly below the late-summer climatological average of ~29–30°C. Model consensus shows gradual clearing later in the day, which could allow modest additional warming if skies open earlier than expected. Official Wuhan Meteorological Observatory updates and final observational data from surface stations will determine resolution.
