Recent National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts for Los Angeles on September 4 project overnight lows in the mid-60s, driven by persistent marine layer influence, light southwest winds, and clear to partly cloudy skies that limit radiative cooling. This aligns closely with the 1991–2020 climatological average low of 64.5°F for the date and recent model consensus showing no strong onshore push or heat advection to alter the pattern. The 66–67°F outcome leads at 46% implied probability because it matches the most probable range from official guidance, while the 32.5% odds on 55°F or below reflect the historical record low but require an atypical cold surge unlikely under current conditions. Traders are weighting the stable, near-normal setup heavily ahead of final evening observations.
