Recent polls show the Parti Québécois leading overall ahead of the October 5 election, leaving a fragmented contest among the Coalition Avenir Québec, Parti Conservateur du Québec and Parti Libéral du Québec for lower placements. Regional variations keep the race for third place especially competitive, with PCQ and CAQ battling closely in the Quebec City area while the PLQ retains strength on Montreal Island but trails elsewhere. High levels of voter volatility, split federalist support and shifting francophone preferences have sustained tight implied probabilities across these parties. Late-campaign developments such as riding-level turnout patterns, leader debates or targeted regional swings could widen gaps by altering seat distributions without changing the broader popular-vote hierarchy.
