Anastasia Potapova enters as the clear favorite in this Internazionali BNL d'Italia qualifying final on Rome's clay courts, backed by her No. 38 WTA ranking, top seeding in qualifiers, and a 1-0 head-to-head edge over Nikola Bartunkova from their prior encounter. Potapova advanced convincingly yesterday, defeating Irina-Camelia Begu 6-1, 7-5 in the first qualifying round, extending her strong 10-3 clay record this season amid a 16-11 overall mark. The 25-year-old Russian's baseline power suits the slower surface better than 20-year-old Czech Bartunkova (No. 94), who lacks deep WTA clay experience despite a solid 14-8 YTD and qualifier progression. No injuries reported; traders weigh Potapova's experience against Bartunkova's upset potential in a best-of-three matchup.
