Recent National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble model runs point to a high of 96–98°F for Austin on September 7, with partly cloudy skies, light southerly winds near 5 mph, and minimal precipitation risk supporting the tight clustering of market probabilities around the 96–101°F bins. Consensus guidance shows little day-to-day change from recent hot, stable conditions, though slight differences in afternoon mixing and cloud cover across models create the observed spread between 96–97°F and 100–101°F outcomes. This aligns with late-summer climatology, where average highs reach 93°F but recent years have frequently exceeded 98°F under similar high-pressure patterns. Updated model runs and the next NWS discussion will likely refine the precise maximum.
