Recent National Weather Service forecasts position a high near 91°F as the most likely outcome for Houston on September 9, with partly sunny skies, east winds around 5 mph, and a 50% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms that could limit peak heating. This aligns with the market's strongest implied probability on the 90-91°F bin, reflecting model consensus from recent runs amid humid conditions and heat indices exceeding 100°F. The prior day's mid-90s readings and seasonal average high of 90.5°F provide context, while increased moisture and storm potential introduce modest downside risk for slightly cooler readings. Final hourly observations will resolve the market, with any shifts in convective timing or cloud cover as the key variables to monitor overnight into the event.
