Traders have locked in 92-93°F as the highest temperature recorded in Miami on August 15, consistent with National Weather Service observations from Miami International Airport. This outcome aligns with typical late-summer patterns under a subtropical high-pressure ridge, where daytime heating combines with light southeasterly flow and urban heat effects to produce afternoon peaks in the low 90s. Dew points near 75°F supported high humidity but limited further warming, while sea-breeze convergence remained weak enough to avoid significant cooling or convective suppression. The market’s 100% implied probability reflects finalized station data with little revision risk. Only an unforecasted thunderstorm cell or sharp wind shift introducing cooler marine air could have produced a meaningfully different maximum, neither of which occurred.
