Geopolitical de-escalation between Israel and Iran eased some oil-price pressure, supporting a modest rebound in tech and semiconductor shares, while broader concerns over sticky inflation and a potentially hawkish Federal Reserve kept sentiment cautious. With the FOMC policy decision and updated economic projections scheduled for June 16-17, traders are monitoring incoming CPI, PPI, and labor-market data for signals on the policy rate path, which remains the dominant driver of near-term equity valuation and implied volatility.
