Recent polling for Berlin’s September 20 state election shows the CDU holding a steady edge over the Greens, with CDU support at 20-21% and Grüne at 16% across multiple surveys from INSA, Infratest dimap, and Forschungsgruppe Wahlen. The CDU’s position reflects the impact of replacing incumbent mayor Kai Wegner with Stefan Evers in July, which halted earlier declines. Grüne figures have remained flat amid competition from a resurgent Linke and AfD. With five parties clustered near the threshold and coalition math favoring three-party options, traders view the CDU’s consistent polling margin as the dominant factor supporting an 83% implied probability that it will outpoll the Greens.
