Latest National Weather Service and model guidance, including GFS runs, points to partly cloudy skies and light southerly winds over Austin on September 20, supporting afternoon highs in the upper 90s. These conditions align with trader emphasis on the 98-99°F bin at 55% implied probability, as scattered cloud cover limits peak solar heating while elevated humidity sustains warmth. The 96-97°F and 100-101°F outcomes capture remaining model spread, with historical September averages near 90°F providing context for the above-normal but not extreme setup. Minimal precipitation risk and stable steering patterns reduce upside potential for 102°F-plus readings ahead of resolution.
