The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Current forecasts from the National Weather Service and ensemble models indicate Houston lows on September 4 will likely settle in the upper 70s amid high dew points near 75°F, southeasterly flow, and scattered afternoon thunderstorms that limit nocturnal radiative cooling. Persistent humidity and potential overnight cloud cover from tropical moisture keep minimum temperatures elevated above the 1991–2020 average of 74.9°F, supporting trader emphasis on the 78–79°F bin while the 88°F+ outcome reflects uncertainty around any delayed clearing or stronger warm advection. Model consensus remains tight on this range two days out, with resolution hinging on the precise timing of any evening showers and boundary-layer mixing.
