**Forecasts from multiple meteorological sources, including international models and regional outlooks, center the September 11, 2026, daily high in Shanghai near 28–29 °C, aligning with the market’s leading implied probabilities (28 °C at 46.5 %, 29 °C at 27 %).** September marks the seasonal transition toward cooler autumn conditions, with Shanghai’s climatological average high around 27 °C; current guidance shows modest daytime warming under partly to mostly cloudy skies, light northeast winds, and a modest chance of patchy showers that limit strong solar heating. Model consensus (GFS and others) indicates peak readings in the late morning to early afternoon before any cloud build-up or light precipitation develops, keeping the maximum from climbing into the low 30s or dropping below 27 °C. Recent days have featured similar stable, non-extreme patterns without strong high-pressure ridging or typhoon influences that could shift temperatures notably. Traders appear to be weighting these near-term model runs and seasonal context, with the tight clustering around 27–29 °C reflecting the narrow uncertainty range typical for a 24-hour forecast window in this regime. Updated model runs or official China Meteorological Administration briefings on the morning of the 11th could refine the exact peak if cloud cover or timing of any showers changes.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zspd
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
