**Persistent upper-level ridging over the Southern Plains continues to drive above-normal heat across North Texas, supporting trader consensus around 98–101°F for Dallas’s September 9 high.** National Weather Service forecasts from the Dallas/Fort Worth office project a sunny Wednesday with a high near 101°F and heat indices to 104°F, consistent with recent observations of 100–102°F daily maxima under south-southeast winds of 5–10 mph and minimal cloud cover. This setup reflects strong model agreement on subsidence and downslope warming, though subtle differences in boundary-layer mixing or dewpoint trends create the tight spread between the 51% implied probability for 98–99°F and 44.5% for 100–101°F. With September climatological normals near 91–92°F and no significant frontal passage or moisture surge expected before resolution, the market reflects uncertainty primarily in the precise peak rather than broader regime shifts.
