National Weather Service forecasts for Austin on September 10 indicate highs near 98–99°F under a persistent upper-level ridge, with mostly sunny morning conditions transitioning to partly cloudy skies and a slight afternoon thunderstorm chance that could limit peak heating. South winds around 5 mph and dew points in the low-to-mid 70s will sustain high heat indices near 108°F, consistent with recent days above the 92°F climatological average. Model consensus shows limited spread, though variable cloud cover or isolated convection introduces uncertainty around whether readings reach 100°F or remain in the mid-to-upper 90s. Updated NWS guidance and afternoon observations will refine resolution probabilities ahead of market close.
