Persistent high pressure and a moist subtropical air mass are anchoring trader sentiment for Austin’s September 10 minimum temperature near the mid-70s. Official National Weather Service guidance and ensemble model runs show overnight lows of 76–78 °F under partly to mostly clear skies, light south-southeast flow, and dew points in the low-to-mid 70s that limit radiational cooling. These conditions sit well above the 1991–2020 climatological average low of 69.6 °F yet far below the 88 °F threshold, producing the balanced 41.5 % market-implied odds on the extreme bins while concentrating probability on the 74–79 °F range. With resolution less than 24 hours away and no incoming frontal or tropical moisture expected to alter the thermal profile, the market reflects the narrow uncertainty band typical of short-range temperature forecasts under stable late-summer ridging.
