**Forecast models and official guidance from sources like the National Weather Service point to an overnight low in the upper 70s for Houston on September 10, 2026, driven by persistent warmth, high humidity, and limited radiational cooling.** Current 10-day outlooks show nighttime temperatures holding near 78–80°F amid partly to mostly cloudy skies, scattered showers or thunderstorms, and light southerly to easterly winds. These conditions trap heat and moisture near the surface, consistent with the broader late-summer pattern of elevated heat indices and minimal diurnal temperature drops. Historical averages for the date (around 74°F) are being exceeded due to the lack of a cooling front or drier air mass. Trader consensus reflected in the leading 76–77°F (45.5%) and 78–79°F (33%) buckets aligns closely with this guidance, while lower probabilities for 71°F or below or 80°F+ capture residual uncertainty from model variability in cloud cover and precipitation timing. Key upcoming factors include the next NHC/NOAA model runs and local forecast updates, which could shift implied odds if storm activity or wind patterns change overnight.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=khou
This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button.
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
