Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs remain locked in a near-even contest for lead-left bookrunner on Anthropic’s planned fall 2026 IPO following the company’s June 1 confidential S-1 filing. Both firms already hold top billing alongside JPMorgan, yet the decisive “lead left” designation hinges on their respective tech-IPO market shares, distribution reach to large institutions, and execution track records—Goldman’s recent SpaceX mandate providing a tangible edge while Morgan Stanley counters with deep enterprise relationships. Trader positioning at 50.0% and 48.5% reflects uncertainty over which bank will ultimately secure the higher fee allocation and prestige before pricing, with only modest probability priced for other participants.

If no IPO occurs by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or Anthropic completes an initial public offering without a designated lead underwriter, this market will resolve to “Other.”
If multiple banks are identified as lead underwriters, this market will resolve according to the primary lead underwriter. If the hierarchy between them is unclear, this market will resolve once it is conclusively evident which bank is the primary lead underwriter, for example, through the order in which the banks are listed in the underwriting section of Anthropic’s final initial public offering prospectus, once released.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official disclosures from Anthropic. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
