Recent National Weather Service and model consensus points to a minimum temperature in the mid-70s for Austin on September 7, driven by southerly flow, mostly clear skies, and limited radiational cooling after daytime highs near 98°F. Persistent warm advection from the Gulf and elevated dew points suppress overnight drops below historical September averages around 70°F. Trader clustering around 72–77°F reflects tight forecast spreads across GFS and local guidance, with 1–3°F uncertainty tied to minor variations in cloud cover or wind. Updated NWS briefings and next model cycles will refine exact thresholds ahead of market resolution.
