Recent model consensus from sources including SMN and international forecasts points to a highest temperature near 23–25°C on September 6 in Mexico City, aligning with the market's heaviest weighting on 24°C. Afternoon convection and showers tied to low-pressure channels and upper-level troughing are expected to cap afternoon peaks during the rainy season, consistent with September climatology of 23–24°C averages. Persistent regional moisture and variable steering patterns introduce modest uncertainty, with clearer breaks potentially allowing brief warming to 25°C while heavier rainfall could suppress readings toward 23°C. Official SMN updates and refined model runs ahead of the diurnal heating cycle remain key near-term drivers for trader positioning.
