Zizou Bergs enters the Libema Open first-round matchup as the clear favorite against Australian qualifier James McCabe on grass, reflecting the Belgian’s higher ranking at No. 40 and status as the 2025 finalist at this ATP 250 event. Bergs returns to the surface where he reached his only career final but has yet to play grass in 2026 after a spring slump that included four consecutive clay losses. McCabe, ranked No. 233, secured main-draw entry with two strong qualifying wins and has posted four grass victories this season, showcasing efficient serving on the fast courts. The pair has no prior head-to-head record, shifting focus to serve-return dynamics and how each handles grass-court pressure points in their debut clash.
