The Blaze enter the June 28 Vitality Blast Women clash at Chelmsford as table leaders with a 5-1 record and strong net run rate, reflecting consistent T20 performances including wins over Lancashire and others, though they suffered an early-season setback that briefly dropped them in the standings. Essex sit sixth at 3-3 but carry momentum from recent victories, notably a comfortable chase against Lancashire powered by Lissy MacLeod’s half-century and Grace Scrivens’ unbeaten 85, plus their opening win over Warwickshire. Home advantage at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground, combined with Essex’s improving middle order and bowling options, could narrow the gap against The Blaze’s experienced attack led by Kirstie Gordon and overseas contributions. Recent form, venue conditions, and both sides’ T20 execution will shape implied probabilities ahead of this Group One fixture.
