**Forecast consensus from multiple models points to a maximum of 25–27°C in Beijing on September 9, 2026, as the dominant driver of trader positioning.** Recent northerly flow and clearing skies after light rain and cloud cover on September 8 have moderated temperatures, with current runs from GFS-based guidance and other ensembles favoring a peak near 26°C under mostly sunny conditions and light winds. This aligns with the market's leading 52% implied probability on 26°C and secondary support for 25°C, reflecting surface cooling from prior precipitation and seasonal transition toward the September climatological average high of 27.6°C. Historical records show wide variability on the date (20–33°C), but near-term model agreement and lack of southerly advection or subsidence warming keep extremes below 28°C unlikely. Updated model runs and official observations the morning of September 9 will provide the final resolution inputs.
