Recent primaries on May 5 solidified Democratic incumbent Greg Landsman’s nomination and positioned Republican Eric Conroy, backed by former President Trump, as the general-election challenger for Ohio’s 1st Congressional District. Redistricting completed in late 2025 added rural counties that tilt the map slightly toward Republicans on presidential voting patterns, narrowing the prior Democratic edge. Yet trader consensus continues to favor Democratic retention, reflecting Landsman’s established incumbency, fundraising strength, and the district’s urban Cincinnati core. The race remains on track for November 3, with few intervening events until the general-election campaign intensifies.
