**Avengers: Doomsday** edges ahead in trader sentiment at 55.5% implied probability for 2026’s biggest opening week, narrowly ahead of **Spider-Man: Brand New Day** at 45.5%, while the other titles sit at negligible levels. The primary driver is the MCU franchise scale and event status of an Avengers team-up film, which historically delivers massive presales and global reach compared with solo Spider-Man entries. Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s record $360 million domestic opening in late July has validated strong audience demand for the Tom Holland series, yet traders appear to price in even higher expectations for Doomsday’s December 18 release based on MCU precedent and holiday timing. Toy Story 5’s earlier June debut and the still-distant Hunger Games and Dune projects lack comparable tracking or cultural momentum to challenge the top two. Upcoming catalysts include further presale data and any marketing reveals that could shift the razor-thin contest before year-end.
