Broadcasters have until mid-October 2026 to finalize entries for the Eurovision Song Contest 2027 in Burgas, Bulgaria, following the host nation's first win in 2026. As of mid-September, roughly 26-27 countries have confirmed participation, including Canada's debut as the first new entrant since Australia and North Macedonia's return after a four-year absence. Recent confirmations from Montenegro, Ukraine, and others reflect steady momentum, while Belgium's VRT received an extension amid ongoing EBU talks and the Netherlands' AVROTROS maintained its boycott over neutrality and Israel-related concerns. National selections such as Ukraine's Vidbir and Malta's Malta Eurovision Song Contest are already underway, with final participant numbers and potential late withdrawals shaping the field ahead of the May 2027 semifinals and grand final.
