Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for New York City on September 19, 2026, centers the daily minimum temperature in the low 60s°F, with consensus lows of 61–65°F driven by northeast flow and partly to mostly cloudy skies that limit overnight radiative cooling. Dew points in the upper 40s to mid-50s and moderate winds of 8–15 mph further moderate the urban heat island effect, preventing sharper drops while blocking stronger cold advection. These conditions place the 62–63°F bin at the center of trader focus, as even modest shifts in cloud cover, wind speed, or steering patterns could push the observed low into the adjacent 60–61°F or 64–65°F ranges before official Central Park readings finalize the market.
