**Strong test screening results have anchored trader sentiment for the Tomatometer on Paramount’s “Ebenezer,” Ti West’s gothic dark-fantasy reimagining of A Christmas Carol starring Johnny Depp as Scrooge.** The film posted an 80 overall score and 86 for Depp’s performance in August screenings, well above typical norms for the genre, with particular strength among women over 35. West’s horror-inflected approach, reflected in the PG-13 “frightening material” rating, combined with a star-studded ensemble including Rupert Grint, Daisy Ridley, Ian McKellen, and Andrea Riseborough, has fueled expectations of broad holiday appeal. No critic reviews exist yet ahead of the November 13 wide release, leaving room for shifts based on early reactions, while historical variability in Dickens adaptations adds uncertainty to the final consensus.
