Trader consensus favoring 36–37°C highs in Jeddah on September 7 reflects the latest ensemble forecast guidance from global and regional models, which project peak afternoon temperatures in that narrow band under persistent late-summer conditions. Red Sea sea-surface temperatures near 32°C sustain high humidity and limit nocturnal cooling, while weak pressure gradients and light northerly winds favor modest daytime warming without strong advection. Small differences in predicted cloud cover, boundary-layer mixing, or a slight shift in the subtropical ridge could easily tip the daily maximum between 36°C and 37°C, or occasionally higher if subsidence strengthens. Official Saudi meteorological updates and model runs over the next 48 hours will likely drive any further tightening of these closely matched market-implied odds.
