Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and supporting models project a high of 72–74°F for Seattle on September 6 under mostly sunny skies with light northerly winds, aligning closely with the 1991–2020 climatological average of 72.8°F. Stable atmospheric conditions, including clear skies and minimal cloud cover through peak heating hours, reinforce this range and explain the market’s heavy weighting toward 72–73°F. Recent observations from September 5, with highs near 70–74°F, show no anomalous warming trends that would shift outcomes higher. Traders appear to be pricing in low uncertainty around official guidance, with only modest probability assigned to 74–75°F if afternoon insolation exceeds expectations.
