Current forecasts from models such as GFS and agency guidance project overnight lows in the upper 60s to near 68°F for Los Angeles on September 14, driven by typical September marine layer influence and light onshore flow that promotes modest nocturnal cooling after daytime highs near 80°F. This aligns with the elevated market-implied odds on the 68-69°F and 70-71°F outcomes. Warmer bins like 78°F or higher receive the highest probability share due to uncertainty over reduced marine layer coverage or subtle offshore wind shifts that could limit cooling below historical September averages around 64°F. Recent observations of persistently mild nights and model consensus on minimal synoptic forcing sustain trader focus on these thresholds ahead of final verification data.
